Terms
Last updated 21 July 2026
These terms cover your use of Ezzeefy, an app you install on a Shopify store. Installing it means you accept them. If you are installing on behalf of a business, you are confirming you may bind that business.
How we handle data is a separate document — see the privacy policy.
What the app does
Ezzeefy reads data from your Shopify store and gives you analytics and customer profiles, email and SMS marketing, storefront content that varies by visitor, and checkout rules enforced by Shopify. What is available to you depends on your Shopify plan — some capabilities require Shopify Plus, and some require permissions you must grant.
We add, change and remove features over time. If we remove something you depend on, we will tell you in the app before it goes.
Installing and access
You install and remove the app through Shopify. At install, Shopify asks you to grant specific permissions; the app cannot read or write anything outside what you granted. If we later need an additional permission, Shopify will ask you again — we cannot widen our own access.
You are responsible for who on your team can reach your Shopify admin. The app does not maintain its own logins or roles; anyone with access to your store's admin and the app can use every part of it. Actions taken in the app are recorded in an audit trail.
What you are responsible for
The app is a tool. What you do with it is yours, and two obligations matter more than the rest.
- You must have a lawful basis for the marketing you send. You decide who receives a campaign. Having someone's email address or phone number is not the same as permission to market to them, and rules differ by country. The app enforces suppression lists and blocks SMS to numbers with no recorded consent, but those are safety nets, not a substitute for your own compliance.
- For your customers' data, you are the controller and we act on your instructions. You decide what is collected and what it is used for. You are responsible for telling your shoppers what you collect — including that storefront activity is tracked — and for having a privacy notice and cookie consent that covers it.
- You must keep your Shopify account secure, and give accurate information when we ask for it.
- You must not use the app to send unlawful, deceptive or harassing messages, or to market to people who have opted out.
Charges
Shopify handles all billing. We never see or store your payment details. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice, and Shopify is the authority on your subscription state, billing cycle and any dunning.
Pricing is usage-based. Before anything is charged, Shopify shows you an approval screen setting out the plan and the rates, and nothing is billed until you approve it. Each plan includes a monthly allowance across the metered activities, and usage within that allowance is not charged.
Your subscription includes a spending cap. Usage charges cannot exceed it within a billing period. Raising it requires your approval through Shopify. If you reach the cap, metered actions such as sending campaigns stop until the cap is raised or the period resets; your data keeps being collected.
We will not charge you under terms you were not shown. If we introduce a new billable activity after you subscribed, it is not billed on your existing subscription. We may measure it, and you can see it, but charging requires a new approval from you.
Where a plan offers a free trial, the length is shown on the approval screen. Cancelling before it ends means no charge for the base plan; usage charges incurred during a trial may still apply.
Our policy on refunds and cancellation is [ owner: refund and cancellation policy ].
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or circumvent the app: no probing for vulnerabilities without our written permission, no automated scraping beyond normal use, no reselling access, and no using the app to store or transmit malicious code. Do not use it to build a competing product from data it exposes.
The app applies rate limits to keep it available for everyone. Working around them is a breach of these terms.
Your data
Your store data stays yours. We do not sell it, and we do not use one merchant's customer data to serve another. We process it to operate the app for you, and we may use aggregated, de-identified information — counts and trends that cannot be traced to you or your shoppers — to improve the product.
Shopify remains the authoritative copy of your store records. What we hold is a working mirror, and the privacy policy sets out exactly what is kept and for how long.
Availability
We aim to keep the app running and to fix problems promptly, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It depends on Shopify and on other providers, and outages there will affect it. Maintenance may require short interruptions.
The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. Analytics figures, predictive scores and recommendations are estimates produced by formulas applied to your data — useful for decisions, not guaranteed to be accurate, and not financial or legal advice.
Our support commitment is [ owner: support response commitment, if any ].
Liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, and our total liability arising from the app in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for it in that period. If you have paid us nothing, our liability is limited to resupplying the service.
You are responsible for the consequences of messages you send and content you publish through the app, including any regulatory penalty arising from them.
Ending the agreement
You can uninstall the app from your Shopify admin at any time. That cancels the subscription through Shopify and ends these terms.
Uninstalling deletes your data. Shopify notifies us, and we remove your store's records — with the narrow exceptions set out in the privacy policy. If you want a copy of anything, export it before you uninstall.
We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if your use threatens the service for others. Where circumstances allow, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights or what you are charged, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect, and a pricing change always requires a fresh approval through Shopify. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not, uninstall.
Governing law and contact
Ezzeefy is operated by [ owner: registered legal entity name ], at [ owner: registered business address ]. These terms are governed by the law of [ owner: governing law and jurisdiction ], whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction, and they take effect on [ owner: effective date ].
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Not enforcing something straight away does not waive it. These terms, plus the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about the app.
