At checkout
Checkout rules
Seven rules that run inside Shopify's own checkout. You configure them in Ezzeefy; Shopify enforces them. Because they run on Shopify's side they apply everywhere checkout happens, including express wallets.
Smart discounts
Automatic discounts that apply only to a chosen segment or loyalty tier — on specific products, the order subtotal, or shipping. No code for the shopper to enter.
Bundles
Sell a kit as a single product that expands into its component items in the cart, so inventory is tracked per component while the shopper buys one thing. Components can carry their own pricing.
Requires Checkout Extensibility. Stores still on classic checkout cannot use bundles, and saving one returns a clear error rather than failing quietly. This is not a Plus restriction — most current Shopify plans qualify.
Delivery and payment rules
Hide or rename shipping options, and hide payment methods, based on cart total, country, loyalty tier or segment. Useful for keeping express shipping off low-value orders, or restricting cash on delivery to certain regions.
Cart validation
Block checkout when the cart breaks your rules, with a message explaining why: minimum or maximum quantities, blocked countries, a required purchase order number, or a minimum order value that applies only to a particular segment. Up to 25 rules.
Order routing
Rank which location should fulfil an order by setting a priority per location, so orders go to the warehouse you would have chosen. Takes effect as soon as it is configured.
Fulfillment constraints
Keeps items from the same vendor or drop-shipper fulfilling together rather than splitting across locations.
Limits worth knowing
| Limit | Detail |
|---|---|
| 25 per kind, per store | Shopify caps how many checkout customizations of each type a store can have. Ezzeefy uses one and holds your rules inside it, so this only matters if other apps also add customizations. |
| Segment data is a day old | Anything targeting a segment or tier at checkout reads a nightly snapshot. |
| Permissions | Each rule type needs its own permission. If one was added after you installed, Shopify will ask you to reconnect before it works. |
