Change what they see

Personalization

Show different content to different shoppers on your existing theme, without a developer and without a separate page builder.

Three ways to change a page

Delivery types
TypeWhat it does
InsertAdds content immediately before or after an existing theme section
OverlayShows a popup, slide-in or banner over the page
Field overrideReplaces the text, image or link inside a section you already have — the layout stays yours

Sections come from your real theme files, so the choices you are offered are the sections your store actually has, named as you named them.

Who sees it

Rules combine anything Ezzeefy knows about the shopper: customer fields, RFM tier, predictive scores, pages and sessions, cart value and abandonment, products and collections viewed, searches, where they arrived from, and how long since their last visit.

  • Behavioural rules work on anonymous visitors. What someone browsed this session, what is in their cart, where they came from — none of that needs them to be signed in.
  • Customer rules need a known shopper, and RFM tiers and predictive scores refresh daily. Someone who qualified for VIP an hour ago will not match a VIP rule until the next recalculation.

Recommendations

Eight algorithms, plus manual curation where you pin exactly what appears.

Recommendation algorithms
KindAlgorithms
Same for everyoneMost viewed · Bestsellers · Trending · Frequently bought together
Different per shopperRecently viewed · Personal favourites · Cart recovery · Collection affinity

The per-shopper ones are computed for that visitor and never shared between shoppers, so one person's recently-viewed list can never appear for someone else.

Measuring whether it worked

A/B testing tells you which variant won. A holdout tells you whether personalizing at all was worth doing — a percentage of shoppers is deliberately shown nothing, and the difference between them and everyone else is the real lift.

Holdout is off by default; set the percentage when you create the campaign. Once shoppers have been assigned to the holdout, the campaign's configuration locks — changing the thing being measured mid-experiment would make the result meaningless.

Auto-optimize is the alternative when you do not want to wait: traffic shifts toward whichever experience is performing best instead of staying evenly split. Enable it per personalization point.

The SEO zone, and what it really does

The SEO zone block is for spots where search visibility matters. It renders your fallback content server-side, so a crawler always has something to read, and then swaps in the personalized version in the browser.

This is not server-side rendered personalization. Crawlers that run JavaScript — Google's among them — see the personalized content. Crawlers that do not will only ever see the fallback. Write the fallback as content you would be happy to have indexed on its own, because for some crawlers it is the whole page.

Themes

You can pin personalization to a single theme, so a campaign does not appear on a draft or seasonal theme you are still working on. If the storefront cannot report which theme is running, personalization is allowed rather than blocked — the aim is never to break a live store because of an unknown.
